Horse Ride Mackinac Island

If you haven’t been to Mackinac Island, Michigan (pronounced Mackinaw), you may not be aware that you cannot have or drive a vehicle there (unless you are a utility worker, EMT or part of the Volunteer Fire Dept). Transportation is by taxi (horse), your feet, or bicycle. Also, you can rent a horse or buggy. Guided horseback rides are also available.
